Gabon

Gabon’s forests

Tropical forests cover about 22 million hectares, or 41,2% of the total surface of Gabon. The country’s landuse planning foresees 14 million ha for permanent forestry whereof 10 million ha are productive forests, and 4 million ha conservation forests. 8 million ha are allocated to non-permanent forestry.
